Overview
IBM Client Engineering is an investment by IBM in which a cross-functional team of designers, data scientists, engineers, and SMEs works closely alongside clients to co-create a pilot and prove business value, at zero cost to the client.
As a designer intern within my team, I was able to be involved in 7 different client engagements, where I experienced IBM's Enterprise Design Thinking methodology firsthand. Through virtual and on-site meetings with clients across various industries, I shadowed and facilitated design thinking workshops in stages ranging from problem discovery to solutioning and scoping. Through the help of my team's efforts, I saw businesses implementing new software solutions to their environment and optimizing their workflows.
My experience at IBM was incredible, as I was also given the freedom to explore the vast range of work being done within the company beyond just my team. Throughout the three months, I engaged in various projects, small and large, personal and collaborative, to feed my constant desire to learn and expand my skill set.
